About Námsgögn
Námsgögn is an open platform at namsgogn.is that translates and adapts OpenStax educational material into Icelandic. The project is created by Andvari to make high-quality learning materials available to Icelandic students and teachers free of charge.
Translations are produced with AI and then reviewed by teachers and subject specialists to improve accuracy, terminology, and Icelandic language quality.
Námsgögn is an independent Icelandic project. OpenStax does not sponsor or endorse these translations, and the original OpenStax material remains available for free from OpenStax.
A living project in development
Námsgögn is still evolving, so content, translations, and features may change. If you find an error, unclear wording, or something that could be better, you can submit a suggestion. Every suggestion is reviewed before it is published.
